Frequently Asked Questions

  • What exactly does a coaching session with you involve?

Each coaching session is a personalised experience, focusing on your unique goals and challenges. Together, we'll use your strengths and insights to develop strategies for personal and professional growth, ensuring each session brings you closer to your aspirations.

  • What's the difference between coaching and mentoring?

Coaching with me is a client-driven process where I facilitate self-discovery and strategy development. In contrast, mentoring is more directive, offering advice and solutions based on my experiences and expertise.

  • How long does a typical coaching session last?

A standard coaching session is 1 hour. This duration allows us to dive deep into your goals and challenges while maintaining focus and energy.

  • Can I book just one session, or do I need to commit to a package?

You have the flexibility to book a single session or choose from one of my session packages. The choice depends on your needs and goals.

  • What are your qualifications as a coach?

I’m an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation and hold Diplomas in Professional and Leadership Coaching from the Australian Institute of Professional Coaches. I have over 30 years of experience in team management and individual coaching in large corporate to mid-sized companies in Australia and the UK.

  • Are your coaching sessions confidential?

Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of my practice. Our conversations are a safe space for you to explore and grow without judgement or external influence.

  • How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching is beneficial for anyone seeking personal or professional growth. Our initial 15-minute consultation, which is complimentary, can help determine if my coaching style aligns with your needs.

  • Do you offer any specialised coaching like career transition or leadership development?

Yes, I offer specialised coaching in various areas, including career transitions, leadership development, emotional intelligence, and personal branding. In our initial consultation, we’ll discuss what might be right for you.

  • What should I expect from the free 15-minute chat?

This chat is an opportunity to discuss your goals, challenges, and what you hope to achieve through coaching. It's also a chance for us to see if we're a good fit for each other.

  • How are the coaching sessions conducted?

Sessions can be conducted face-to-face, particularly if you're in the Inner West or Sydney CBD area, or all sessions can also be conducted virtually if preferred or not local to Sydney.

  • What is your approach to personal values in coaching?

I believe understanding your personal values is crucial. We'll explore these values to guide your decision-making and goal-setting, ensuring they align with your true self. I’m so passionate about this, that I offer a bespoke three-session Personal Values pack.

  • Are there services you don't offer?

While I cover a wide range of coaching areas, for specialised needs like couples counselling or dealing with psychological issues, I recommend seeking a specialist. I'm always transparent about where my expertise lies and will guide you towards the right support.

  • What if I know I need help but am fearful of what's next?

Great question! First, recognise that that feeling is entirely normal. Embrace it. Meaningful change only happens when we're at the edge of discomfort and this fear therefore, is a precursor to growth. I will guide you through that uncertainty, using it as a catalyst for positive change.

  • Is investing into a coach worth my time?

Absolutely. The right coach can help you transform your life, overcome lifelong hurdles and help you change the path you're on - If you want to. It can literally change the tone and the messaging of your internal voice. If you need more convincing, please check out the testimonials of some of those I've helped.

  • What tangible differences could I expect in myself as an outcome?

That is wholly dependent on what problem you're trying to solve or goal to attain. However, outcomes could include a greater sense of purpose, improved decision-making, a fundamentally different appreciation of what's important to you, a clearer career path, clarity over how to handle a specific situation or enhanced skills to lead, communicate and build relationships.
